First Post of the Year!! I have to say that I am off to a good start this year. The Salmagundi Club is having an exhibition specifically for the Junior/Scholarship group that I’m in! We were allowed to submit up to 5 works, I only submitted 2, and I just dropped them off yesterday. I submitted my digital photo art for the show. Here is the info for the the show. I love these two. But I love all my work. haha. I cant help it. I guess I get tied up into the whole process of editing, printing, and framing of a photo, and become attached
The Salmagundi Club is also having a Black and White exhibition! When I saw that info I was really excited and knew I wanted to be part of that show. I made a black and white version of my Glacier Bay Panorama. I love it! It looks great!! I have to wait for the print and framing to get done, then I can submit it and hopefully they accept it into the show!! I am a bit if-y about the mat and frame color. I put black on black. I know, I know it’s a taboo thing. You’re not suppose to do it. When I looked at the mat being white with a black frame it took a way from the picture. You def don’t want that!! When I tried it out in black it just looked great!!! So, I ordered that. The Black and White show has some history to it. They’ve been doing it for years. They feature the best work, and the most powerful artwork, I think my panorama is pretty powerful. Here is the info for that show. It also gives you a bit of the history behind this historic show for not only Salmagundi, but for New York City.
If all goes as planned I will be in 2 shows so far already this year!! There’s a members show coming up in march, which I def should enter something, but I haven’t figured out what yet. I will keep everyone posted!
